shopping in Hong Kong Causeway Bay Causeway Bay is one of Hong Kong's major shopping districts. It's on the northern shore of Hong Kong Island next to Victoria Park. It can be reached by underground (station Causeway Bay) or by ferry (Wan Chai ferry pier). Causeway includes some huge department stores and shopping centres: - Sogo: Japanese department store, 555 Hennessy Road - Times Square: shopping centre with 230 shops, cinema, restaurants - Lee Gardens/ Lee Gardens Two: close to Times Square - Mitsukoshi: department store, 500 Hennessy Road - World Trade Centre: shopping mall and restaurants, 280 Gloucester Road - Park Lane Hotel Shopping Arcade: exclusive designer brand names - Hang Lung Centre: 2-20 Paterson St Kowloon - Tsim Sha Tsui Tsim Sha Tsui is the area in southern Kowloon. It's a major tourist hub with shops, restaurants, hotels and museums. Many landmarks of Hong Kong are in Tsim Sha Tsui. To name a few: - Nathan Road: busy road with shops, restaurants, hotels - Star Ferry terminal (to Central, Hong Kong Island) - Harbour City: shopping mall next to Star Ferry - luxury hotels: The Peninsula, Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel - museums: Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Hong Kong Museum of Art - Kowloon Park Harbour City Advertised itself as the biggest shopping mall in Hong Kong. Harbour City has about 700 shops including 50 restaurants and two cinemas. It's situated in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. One of the entrances is near the Star Ferry pier. Harbour City comprises four area's: - Ocean Terminal: 3 levels with many renowned fashion brands - Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel Arcade: Lane Crawford + cinema's - Ocean Centre: fashion outlets (Louis Vuitton) and specialty stores - Gateway Arcade: boutiques (D&G, Prada), mini-cinemas and restaurants Pacific Place Pacific Place is large commercial complex in Admiralty Pacific Place mall has 5 floors with 130 shops and boutiques, two major department stores and several five-star hotels (Conrad Hotel, Island Shangri-La and JW Marriott). In the basement is a a food court and restaurants. Underground station: Admirality Langham Place Langham Place is located in Mongkok (Kowloon) and consist of a 15 level shopping mall, The Langham Hotel and a 59 storey office tower. Underground station: Mongkok IFC Mall The IFC ( International Finance Centre) is a commercial complex on the waterfront of Central District. The IFC consists of two skyscrapers with offices, the IFC Mall and the Four Seasons Hotel. Tower 2 is the second tallest building in Hong Kong with 415m. The mall houses over 200 international brands such as BVLGARI, Cerruti, Prada, Hugo Boss, Rolex, Tiffany and a Lane Crawford department store Seibu Seibu is a Japanese department store chain. Seibu stores in Hong Kong are located at: - Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon) - Pacific Place ( shopping centre in Admiralty) - Langham Place (a commercial complex in Mongkok) |
